LUMENERA CORPORATION LAUNCHES NEW SECURITY CAMERA DIVISION

Network security cameras to be developed for key OEM partners

Ottawa, Ontario, Canada -January 14, 2004- Lumenera Corporation, a leading developer and manufacturer of high performance digital cameras and imaging solutions, today announced that it is launching a new corporate security camera division- Lumenera Security.

Lumenera has launched the Security Division and line of high-end security cameras as a joint strategic initiative with key OEM partners. Lumenera will develop a series of network security cameras, which will further extend its product portfolio and existing business solutions, which currently focuses on industrial and scientific applications. These cameras will be built to the highest quality standard, providing megapixel resolution at live frame rates. Lumenera will be the first company in the market to offer its customers a full 2-megapixel (25X CIF resolution) network camera.
